What is Treasure Tour?

Treasure Tour is a free game application created for children and teens who plan to receive care at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center. The intended goal is to familiarize the young player with the hospital before their arrival so as to reduce their uncertainty and associated distress. The game provides an interactive look at six different patient care areas of the Clinical Center in a kid-friendly way. The player can customize their character and explore these areas, learning about the services offered and the tests and procedures a patient might undergo.

Treasure Tour can be downloaded for free on iOS devices from the App Store and on Android devices from the Google Play Store. There is also a web-browser version for laptops and desktops. All versions provide the same player experience. Treasure Tour is a single-player game that offers full privacy, with no personally identifiable information gathered, and no tracking of the user’s geo-location.
